Role overview

The Senior Agency Development Lead is accountable for delivering sustainable growth across a defined portfolio of agency customers. The role combines commercial insight and strategic planning with disciplined execution and a strong bias to action, turning opportunities into focused growth plans, mobilizing agency and internal stakeholders, and driving those plans through to measurable customer and business outcomes. Success requires building trusted, multi-threaded relationships across the agency ecosystem, including executive advocacy that creates alignment, commitment and momentum behind shared growth priorities. This is a role for an individual contributor who is equally comfortable setting strategic direction and executing on the plan. The successful candidate will bring strong judgement, commercial acumen and disciplined execution: simplifying complexity, establishing ownership and milestones, and adapting quickly when required. They will work closely with Field Sales and cross-functional partners, building relationships and advocacy across the agency ecosystem to align stakeholders and accelerate growth where the interests of LinkedIn, our agency partners and our shared clients meet.

Key responsibilities

  • Own sustainable growth across a defined agency portfolio, with clear accountability for commercial outcomes, product adoption and customer value.
  • Diagnose the largest growth opportunities and translate LinkedIn Marketing Solutions priorities into focused agency and account plans.
  • Convert strategy into execution through clear priorities, owners, milestones, measures and follow-through.
  • Build trusted, multi-threaded agency relationships and executive advocacy that create alignment, commitment and momentum behind shared growth plans.
  • Work side by side with Field Sales and cross-functional teams to activate agency influence, accelerate priority accounts and remove barriers to growth.
  • Build the agency capabilities, programmes and repeatable motions required to scale impact beyond individual engagements.

Growth strategy and execution

  • Build strategic growth plans in which agency insight, customer priorities, commercial opportunity and LinkedIn's strategic priorities meet and are translated into clear outcomes and choices.
  • Build executive sponsorship and multi-threaded relationships.
  • Use senior-level and executive advocacy to create alignment, secure commitments, navigate organisation complexity, resolve trade-offs, and accelerate shared growth priorities.
  • Lead plans from opportunity identification through activation, measurement, ultimately driving sustainable and scaled growth.
  • Establish an effective operating rhythm within the customer portfolio.
  • Move quickly from discussion to action, test practical interventions and adapt plans in response to evidence.
  • Maintain high standards of follow-through, ensuring commitments become completed actions and completed actions produce measurable outcomes.
  • Develop and activate Joint Partnership that serve to unlock shared growth priorities.
  • Mobilise Product, Marketing, Insights and Measurement, Video, Field Sales, Agency Development and other partners in service of shared outcomes and an executable plan.

Field Sales partnership and account acceleration

  • Partner with Field Sales to identify priority agency-influenced growth opportunities and define where Agency Development can be most impactful.
  • Co-create account-level agency strategies that broaden stakeholder coverage, move engagement upstream and connect agency influence to customer decisions.
  • Activate the right agency stakeholders across planning, investment, strategy, measurement, analytics, creative and leadership functions.
  • Support full-funnel growth, video adoption, measurement activation, transformational programmes and commercial partnerships where these align to customer opportunity.
  • Represent agency insight internally while maintaining shared accountability for turning that insight into action and commercial progress.

Agency capability and education

  • Diagnose capability gaps that limit adoption or customer value and design focused interventions to address them.
  • Develop and implement education, business reviews, product updates, strategic workshops and other programmes linked to specific growth outcomes.
  • Adapt narratives and solutions to agency business models, workflows and decision processes rather than relying on generic platform messaging.
  • Identify successful practices, codify them into reusable playbooks and drive adoption across relevant agencies and internal teams.
  • Use AI to synthesise evidence, strengthen customer stories, improve planning and increase the speed and quality of execution.

Industry leadership and LinkedIn product expertise

  • Maintain strong knowledge of agency economics, operating models, industry trends and LinkedIn solutions.
  • Translate market and agency intelligence into practical recommendations, growth plays and improvements to LinkedIn's go-to-market approach.
  • Bring a credible point of view to senior and executive agency conversations, connecting LinkedIn's capabilities to the agency's strategic and commercial priorities.
  • Identify emerging use cases and opportunities, then test and scale those with the strongest potential for customer and business impact.
  • Contribute a clear agency perspective to internal strategy, product and commercial discussions.

Success measures

  • Sustainable revenue growth and increased adoption of priority LinkedIn Marketing Solutions across the assigned agency portfolio.
  • Progress against Joint Business Plans, Agency Level Agreements, commercial frameworks and priority growth programmes.
  • Demonstrable contribution to Field Sales opportunities, including agency-influenced pipeline, deal acceleration and improved customer outcomes.
  • Effective multi-threaded relationships and executive advocacy that strengthen alignment, commitment and delivery against shared growth priorities.
  • Operational excellence across account planning, pipeline management, measurement, stakeholder mobilisation and internal reporting.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated ability to prioritise opportunities, construct executable plans, mobilise stakeholders and maintain momentum through delivery.
  • Ability to combine strategic thinking with hands-on execution in ambiguous, fast-moving environments.
  • Experience building executive advocacy and using it effectively to align stakeholders and advance shared growth priorities.
