Location: Hybrid – occasional travel (1–2 times per month to a UK hub location). Available hub locations include: London, Glasgow, Newcastle, Leeds, Sheffield, Manchester, Birmingham, Blackpool, Cardiff.

Overview

We are seeking an experienced QA Consultant to support the delivery of high-quality digital services within a large-scale public sector environment. This role is ideal for a hands-on QA professional with strong automation and performance testing experience, who can work collaboratively within agile delivery teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and execute automated test scripts
  • Ensure quality across the full software development lifecycle
  • Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and delivery teams
  • Support continuous integration and delivery pipelines
  • Conduct performance testing and contribute to test strategy
  • Identify defects, risks, and areas for improvement

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Strong experience in test automation using:
    • Java
    • Selenium
    • Cucumber
    • Playwright
  • Experience in performance testing
  • Proven ability to work in agile delivery environments
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
  • Experience working within a government or public sector organisation

Additional Information

Candidates must be eligible to undergo BPSS clearance. Occasional travel to a UK hub office is required (1–2 times per month).
