Our client is a prestigious global high technology business based in North Bristol.
As a Principal Design Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in the development and delivery of their electrical engineering products.
The Role:
- Act as a recognised technical leader, upholding company and industry (e.g. EN) standards and promoting professional best practices.
- Collaborate across teams to ensure clear specifications and translate requirements into structured, modular designs.
- Produce and manage technical documentation, while liaising with subcontractors and conducting supplier/site visits as needed.
- Drive continuous improvement through design tool development, process enhancements, and supporting departmental operations.
Skills/Experience Required:
- Experience within a similar senior Electrical Design Engineer role, ideally with experience of designing machine control systems.
- AutoCAD Electrical.
- Strong communication skills.
- High level of stakeholder management.
- Able to take a lead on projects, mentor junior members of the team.
