My client is looking for a Head of Mobile Engineering to lead and scale their Android and iOS teams during an exciting growth phase. This is a high-impact role where you will own the mobile strategy end-to-end—defining the roadmap, building the team, and staying close to the technology to guide key decisions and delivery.

Key focus

  • Own and execute the mobile roadmap, aligning engineering with product strategy, commercial goals, and faster time-to-market.
  • Build, structure, and scale a high-performing mobile team, including hiring, team design (pods/squads), and leadership development.
  • Define and drive technical architecture across Android and iOS, ensuring long-term scalability, maintainability, and performance.
  • Remain hands-on when needed—contributing to code reviews, solving complex technical challenges, and supporting delivery.
  • Champion engineering excellence, driving best practices, modern development approaches, and continuous improvement.
  • Improve app performance, stability, and user experience, with a strong focus on quality at scale.
  • Own budgeting, vendor management, and build vs. buy decisions for mobile tooling and services.
  • Partner closely with senior leadership, product, and external stakeholders to ensure strong business and technical alignment.
  • Ensure security, privacy, and compliance standards are met across all mobile platforms at scale.

  • Deep expertise in Android (Kotlin) or iOS (Swift), with exposure to both.
