My client is a leading specialist in Mission Critical space, bringing together global data centre design and engineering experience from site acquisition to project completion. They are currently looking for a talented and motivated Associate Civil Engineer to join the team in London.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the Civil Engineering design on Data Centre projects within and outside of the UK.
  • Provide design and technical support to the project team, including Senior Engineers, Engineers and CAD Technicians, carrying out engineering concept to detailed design, tender and contract on site supervision, ensuring projects are undertaken in accordance with agreed scope.
  • Manage projects, ensuring they are completed within the agreed time frame and budget by monitoring and controlling project progress, design changes and project budget.
  • Collaborate with internal and external design team members.
  • Maintain client contact and management.
  • Manage project team resourcing.
  • Work closely with the Team Manager to support in bids, team resourcing, and team development.

Experience:

  • Significant Civil Design experience, ideally in Data Centre projects.
  • A degree in Civil Engineering (Masters preferred).
  • Professional status in the form of IEng/CEng.
  • Strong experience with AutoCAD, Civils 3D and Infodrainage.
  • Ability to organise and prioritise workload and tasks to ensure project deadlines are met.
  • Excellent understanding of projects during planning, design and construction, along with an understanding of CDM Regulations and designers' responsibilities.
  • Management experience.
