Location: Reporting office: TXO, Andover in Hampshire. Field-based positions covering one of three areas: 1. West Sussex. 2. Oxfordshire & Buckinghamshire. 3. Suffolk & Norfolk.

Responsible for:
- Carry out fibre tracing to identify the correct customer circuit before removal works.
- Identification, isolation, and removal of redundant fibre cabling.
Job function:
Reporting to the Head of Projects, this exciting new role is responsible for telecoms technical work, detailing assets, deliveries and collections, and Customer Premises Equipment (CPE) Decommissioning and Collection.
Specific responsibilities:
- Carry out fibre tracing to identify the correct customer circuit before removal works.
- Identification, isolation, and removal of redundant fibre cabling.
- Onsite de-installation & recovery of telecommunications equipment: UK and European Sites.
- Mechanical disconnection and movement of large telecoms systems including cables and fibres.
- De-installation and removal of telecoms infrastructure including floor tiles.
- Digital and optical disconnection of large telecoms systems.
- Equipment deliveries and collections.
- Assist with fibre and site audits.
- Assist with coax and CAT5 installations.
- Act as second in command and cover for Decom Site Manager for short periods.
- Utilise H&S training to ensure staff / contractors are working safely.
About you:
- Experience working in a telecoms / IT technical environment.
- Experience of de-installations and movement of large equipment.
- Proficient with office equipment and computerised systems.
- Ability to work under own initiative, whilst meeting the standards of the company's documented quality and environmental systems (ISO9001 / ISO1400).
- Accuracy and attention to detail, keen eye for H&S and risk avoidance.
- Flexible approach and ability to work under pressure.
- An understanding of fundamentals of health and safety at work within a technical environment.
- PC skills, especially Word and Excel for use in a networked environment.
- Ability to safely handle stock items; some of which can be very heavy requiring two people or lifting equipment.
- Ability to travel UK and Europe and stay away Monday to Friday.
