We’re looking for a versatile Linux/Wintel Engineer to join a major Server & Infrastructure Rebuild project based on-site in London for an initial 6-month contract.
If you’re experienced in both Linux and Windows environments and thrive in high-availability, enterprise-scale settings, this is a fantastic opportunity to make an impact.
What You’ll Be Doing:- Deploy, configure, and support Linux (RedHat/CentOS/Ubuntu) and Windows Server environments
- Collaborate on server and service migrations during a full infrastructure rebuild
- Apply patches, harden systems, and enforce security policies
- Support virtual environments (VMware or Hyper-V) and assist with virtual infrastructure tasks
- Work closely with the networking team to ensure seamless infrastructure integration
- 4+ years of system administration experience across Linux and Windows platforms
- Strong troubleshooting skills in both Wintel and Linux environments
- Experience with scripting and automation (Bash, PowerShell)
- Familiarity with Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy
- Knowledge of firewalls and network troubleshooting is a plus
