Line SetterLocation: South LiverpoolPackage: £14.39 per hour + Overtime + BenefitsIndustry: Manufacturing Are you a hands-on Line Setter with a passion for quality, precision, and keeping production running smoothly?Do you thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment where you can solve problems, drive performance, and ensure everything stays on spec?If so, we want to hear from you!Our client, a well-established manufacturer in the packaging space, is looking to appoint an experienced Line Setter to join their growing production team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who understands the importance of machine performance, preventative maintenance, and delivering quality at scale.Responsibilities:Set production lines to meet performance and quality targetsCarry out tool changes, machine adjustments, and cleaning routinesMonitor and maintain machinery to minimise downtimeIdentify and report maintenance issues — both preventative and reactiveComplete and maintain accurate records for shift performance, quality, and machine settingsSupport root cause investigations for quality and performance issuesEnsure QHSE and GMP policies are followed at all timesWork closely with Engineering and Quality teams to troubleshoot and resolve issuesActively contribute to process improvements and continuous improvement initiativesAssist with training and mentoring of other operators and settersMaintain housekeeping and hygiene standards on the lineRequirementsPrevious experience setting high-speed machinery in a production or packaging environmentSound mechanical aptitude and ability to carry out basic maintenance tasksComfortable working with quality checks, audits, and safety standardsStrong communication skills and the ability to work independentlyFlexible to work shifts and occasional overtime as requiredIdeally, You’ll Also Have:A relevant trade qualification (Electrical, Mechanical, or Automotive Engineering)Good understanding of QHSE and environmental policiesExperience with risk assessments and machine safetyA proactive, problem-solving mindsetFamiliarity with lean or continuous improvement practicesPackage Details:£14.39 entry level rate, with 2 additional bands you can progress to once trained across all lines.
