ConsultANZ is looking for a Maintenance Contracts Manager to join a well-established civil contractor in the roading industry, delivering a high-value road maintenance contract in Hamilton & Wellington, New Zealand.

Responsibilities:

  • Take full responsibility for delivering a large-scale urban road maintenance contract, ensuring safety, quality, and performance standards are consistently achieved.
  • Manage commercial performance, including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting against contract requirements.
  • Build and maintain effective working relationships with clients, local authorities, subcontractors, and internal teams.
  • Lead and coordinate site-based delivery teams across ongoing maintenance activities.
  • Drive the planning and execution of works to ensure efficient and compliant delivery outcomes.
  • Attend client and stakeholder meetings, representing contract performance and progress.

Requirements:

  • Qualification in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent industry experience.
  • Strong background in civil infrastructure or road maintenance contract delivery.
  • Demonstrated leadership capability in managing teams and subcontractors.
  • Experience working within council or public sector infrastructure frameworks advantageous.
  • Strong understanding of contract delivery, commercial controls, and reporting.
  • Excellent interpersonal, organisational, and communication skills.
