What you will do:
- Supervise and support Residential Support Workers and Team Leaders, ensuring the highest standards of care.
- Deputise effectively in the absence of the Registered Manager.
- Occasionally travel across boroughs or regions for training, multi-agency meetings, or to assess new referrals.
- Participate actively in the on-call rota to maintain seamless support for the team and residents.
- Be prepared for occasional evening or weekend work, staying flexible to meet the needs of the service.
Requirements of this Deputy Manager role:
- Hold an NVQ Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare; working towards or willing to complete a Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare is highly desirable.
- Possess a full UK driving licence.
- Have a minimum of 1 year's experience in a supervisory or senior role within a children's residential setting.
- Demonstrate experience supporting young people with emotional, behavioural, or complex trauma needs.
- Show proven experience of working in compliance with Ofsted standards, contributing to inspections and/or internal audits.
- Exhibit experience working within diverse communities and a multi-agency framework.
