Leasehold Enfranchisement/Conveyancing SolicitorAn excellent opportunity for a junior to mid-level Property Solicitor to join our boutique law firm which specialises in Leasehold Enfranchisement. NQs with previous experience and who can work with minimal supervision will also be considered for this position.This role is based in Raynes Park and the firm has an excellent reputation for always exceeding clients\’ expectations. You will be ambitious and conscientious with an interest in business development and marketing.You must be able to demonstrate the ability and confidence to manage a busy and varied case load and manage any junior members of staff. You should also be able to show some recent and relevant experience in handling transactional enfranchisements and lease extensions.Job DescriptionThe role includes but is not limited to the following:Lease extensions of flats under the Leasehold Reform Housing and Urban Development Act 1993 (LRHUDA 1993) and voluntary lease extensionsFreehold enfranchisement claims under LRHUDA 1993Making and progressing tribunal applications in relation to lease extension and freehold enfranchisement claimsSale and purchase of freehold reversions by private treaty and auction together with all related notice procedures under the Landlord and Tenant Act 1987Preparation of new leases to create leasehold titlesDeeds of variationGeneral landlord and tenant adviceSales, purchases and remortgagesEquity releaseMarketing and promoting the department to increase revenue streams including production of articles and contentMinimising risk in dealing with all work and ensuring all files are managed in accordance with the Firm’s risk and file management proceduresCarrying out all work in accordance with procedures and systems in place at the firmThe CandidateTo be successful in your application, you will possess the following attributes:Manage own case load and any junior members of staffUtilise the firm’s practice and case management system.Assist with the marketing of the department.Strong IT skills including all MS Office programsHighly organised with ability to work independently and as part of a teamExcellent written and verbal communication skills.Most importantly a passion for providing outstanding levels of client service and professionalismJob Type: Full Time / Permanent.
