We have three sites all based in West Yorkshire and are currently seeking to recruit a highly motivated and pro-active individual to join our Engineering Department as Production Maintenance Engineers at our Knottingley site. Reporting to the Engineering Team Leader, the main purpose of the role is to provide on-going and continuous support to production operations, ensuring optimum production efficiency at all times and that manufactured ware meets customer quality standards.

Duties include:

  • Supporting production changeovers throughout the day
  • The accurate and prompt set up of line and inspection equipment
  • Attending to and resolving equipment breakdowns in a timely manner
  • Delivery of PPM schedules

Suitable candidates should be both enthusiastic and committed, and have a can-do, pro-active approach to work. Ideally, candidates will be apprentice-trained; however, if applicants can demonstrate a high level of skills and knowledge within a similar role, with relevant transferrable skills, then they will also be considered. The ability to work unsupervised to a high standard, work well within a small team, and be able to prioritise their workload, as well as use their own initiative, are essential behaviours and attitudes required for this role. In addition, an NVQ in an electrical discipline would be favourable, however, not essential.

This is a day position working 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday 7.00am to 3.00pm, however, there is an element of flexibility required for this role and as such these may change from time to time to suit factory needs.
