By championing planet-positive practices and traceability from origin through to ethical cashmere production and is proud to be a member of the Sustainable Fibre Alliance.Role DescriptionAn exciting opportunity has arisen within Brodie’s team! We are seeking a highly professional and motivated full time garment technician with at least 2 years experience (preferably in knitwear and jersey). We offer a very desirable opportunity for the correct candidate to further their career within the business as it grows. This role reports to the head of design and is integral to supporting the design team.The successful candidate will -Create measurement specifications for proto samplesReview proto/design samples ensuring that they conform to size and design specificationsFit SMS samples in collaboration with the designers and garment techUpdate each style with comprehensive fit comments providing a detailed technical specification to the factoriesBulk sealing and graded size charts for productionManaging the critical path from proto sample to bulk productionRecord the correct care label and packaging details to ensure they are applied correctly by suppliersOrganising, reviewing and approving test reportsEnsure the company\’s Quality and Fit standards are adhered toWork closely with design and product development teams to provide technical guidance regarding size specifications, fabric selection and garment construction.Assist with the development of fits and blocks for new ranges.Organise and attend fit meetings with customers.Review and log customer returns and feedback to factory returns reportQualificationsStrong understanding of knitwear garment fitting and knit constructionDegree in Fashion or Garment TechnologyMinimum 5 years of experience specializing in knitwearProven ability to communicate effectively across internal teams and with external suppliersSkilled at thriving in fast-paced environments with shifting prioritiesKeen eye for detail combined with a proactive, positive work ethicCollaborative team player who contributes effectively and reliablyProficient in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and ExcelYeadon or London based (potential for hybrid working)Full time hoursSalary £30,000 – £37,000 (DOE)
