IT Manager (Retail/Store Ops Experience Only)

Are you a confident multi-site retail IT Engineer looking for a step-up into a management role, or an existing hands-on IT Manager/Engineer looking for an excellent new opportunity?Read on…..Your key responsibilities: Troubleshoot and manage day-to-day tech issues: store internet, tills, phones, POS, data, and other platforms.Own incident response and request handling – ensure quick resolution or escalation.Monitor and improve IT service performance; create and share reports with local and regional teams.Manage vendor relationships – ensure they deliver what they promise.Run regular check-ins, track SLAs, and raise issues when needed.Lead or support tech rollouts and upgrades in stores/offices.Coordinate with country and regional teams for decision points.Be the tech face of the UK operations – communicate clearly and proactively.Build strong relationships with local leaders and teams.Working with the Global team, fully understand the JFC Global and Regional BTDT strategies to understand their application in the UK context.Translate strategic direction into actionable plans and initiatives aligned with UK operations.Identify and feed back opportunities to improve execution through innovation – focus on continuous improvement.What you\’ll need to succeedExcellent customer service; a desire to grow and develop your career, a confident and outgoing personality/ability to discuss IT with senior stakeholders is an absolute must.The perfect candidate will come from a retail IT Operations background, preferably a major retailer.What you\’ll get in returnCompetitive salary – up to 50k, hybrid working, benefitsWhat you need to do nowApply for the role, and call Lorenz Pasch at Hays ASAP (look me up on LinkedIn).
