We are currently seeking legal support for a cross-border transaction involving the acquisition of an asset in Angola. As part of this initiative, we are looking for an International Lawyer to join us in a remote volunteer capacity. The ideal candidate will help verify legal documentation and ensure all aspects of the transaction are compliant with international and UK legal standards.

This role offers the opportunity to work closely with senior leadership on high-value, real-world transactions. Responsibilities include:

  • Reviewing and validating documentation under UK and international law
  • Advising on treaties, trade laws, and cross-border legal risks
  • Drafting and negotiating international contracts and legal documents
  • Ensuring full compliance with relevant regulatory frameworks
  • Providing strategic legal counsel on future cross-border projects

This initial engagement will be structured around specific deliverables, with compensation offered in the form of share options. Upon successful completion, this role is intended to transition into a paid Legal Counsel position, supporting Capital Blossom across all current and future projects globally.

  • Juris Doctor (JD) or equivalent international law degree
  • Demonstrated experience in international law, particularly in cross-border M&A, trade, or investment in emerging markets
  • Strong understanding of international treaties, compliance frameworks, and legal due diligence practices
  • Proficiency in contract negotiation, legal drafting, and regulatory advisory
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage remote collaboration

Preferred:

  • UK legal qualification and/or experience advising UK-based entities
  • Previous exposure to transactions in Africa, particularly Angola or Lusophone jurisdictions
