We are a global leader in payments processing technology and solutions for a wide range of merchants and partners. In fact, my client operates in over 30 different countries, with over 20,000 staff and in the last four years, have seen their share price rise by over five times!
The Worldwide Payments Compliance team is responsible for providing oversight of the Platform, Product and Card Brand compliance across my clients International Entities. You will manage the compliance of Multinational customers and the third party platform used to process these transactions, along with the development and management of a combined Global View, working with regional teams to create a single view of all card scheme requirements.
Responsibilities:- Overall owner of the compliance position for our Multinational Customers, and the risks associated.
- Oversee a process to ensure business Units and customers are fully apprised of any scheme and mandatory changes, and establish a business owner to ensure that the business reaches compliance.
- Work with Regional Compliance teams to maintain a global view of compliance.
- Manage a Global Library and supporting documentation.
- Develop Merchant collateral.
- Oversee the compliance status of a third Party Platform.
- Provide support to the business units to ensure system, product or process changes are undertaken to adhere to Payment Brand mandatory rules.
- Support customer education, through meetings, documentation and guidance.
- Maintain progress and governance logs to track progress and compliance.
- Maintain a working relationship with the card brands supported by my client, across European and Asia Pacific.
- Act as the point of escalation on any Payment Brand related queries, covering rules, Payment Brand products and development.
- Translate often technical requirements into understandable words, adding context and value and translate this dependent on the audience.
- Provide value into resolution of all compliance notifications to ensure that the impact to my Intl Card Acquirer and its customers is mitigated as much as possible and ensure client and its customers are protected against penalties.
- Review processes and make strategic recommendations to senior management based on Card Brands requirements.
- Minimum 6 years experience in a compliance position preferably within Card Schemes.
- Experience of managing competing complex requirements.
- Knowledge/Experience working within the payments industry (essential).
- Excellent communication skills and ability to interact with customers, third parties and other areas of the business.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify areas of impact and opportunity.
- Ability to build and maintain ongoing relationships with customers and other departments.
- Self-starter with an organised approach and strong desire to succeed.
- Knowledge of the Card Brands.
- Good organisational and planning skills.
- Ability to prioritise own workload and show flexibility to changing priorities.
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Willingness to travel.
