This role will bridge the gap while the client hires a permanent Performance Marketing Lead. Following a period of founder-led growth, they are looking for someone to take the reins and continue their aggressive ad scaling strategy. With seasonal peaks like Father's Day already mastered in the UK and US, the focus will shift to growth hacking through summer, rapid experimentation, and cracking untapped markets such as Australia.
The Interim Performance Marketing Lead will manage and scale high-budget paid media campaigns across Meta and Google Ads, driving acquisition in one of the brand’s most commercially important quarters. With the flexibility to test, iterate and explore new regions or tactics, this is a rare opportunity to be both hands-on and highly strategic in a fast-moving D2C business. You’ll report insights and data directly to the senior team and have real autonomy to make decisions that fuel growth.
The Interim Performance Marketing Lead will:
- Take full ownership of Meta and Google Ads campaigns, including daily management, optimisation, and scaling
- Build and refresh ad accounts and creative assets to support evergreen and seasonal campaigns
- Analyse and act on performance data, feeding back insights that inform future strategy
- Drive aggressive acquisition across core markets and new international regions
- Lead the charge on summer testing cycles, exploring fresh content formats and growth hacks
The role requires:
- Proven experience managing and scaling high-spend Meta ad accounts (ideally £250k+/month)
- Hands-on execution skills, building ads, analysing performance and driving iteration
- Experience working solo or in a lean team; self-starter mentality is essential
- Strong understanding of D2C performance marketing with a commercial eye for what converts
- Ability to thrive in highly seasonal, fast-paced environments where agility is key
Benefits:
- Remote-first role with flexibility around working hours
- Opportunity to work on high-budget, creatively rich campaigns
- Ability to drive direct revenue impact and inform future hiring strategy
- No rigid budget ceilings – the more market you find, the more you can scale
