Infrastructure EngineerUp to £38,000 + on call allowanceRemoteKey ResponsibilitiesDeliver BAU support and maintenance across customer environments.Contribute to service improvement initiatives alongside other engineers and Technical Leads.Assist with solution development based on designs and documentation provided by Technical Leads, Architects, and Delivery Managers.Actively maintain and work towards technical certifications in relevant Microsoft products.Participate in the on-call rota to provide out-of-hours support.Follow change control processes and ensure all work is carried out to a high standard.Note: Responsibilities are not exhaustive the role holder may be asked to take on other reasonable duties as required.Core Skills & ExperienceStrong problem-solving ability and logical approach to troubleshooting.Excellent written and verbal communication skills, able to engage with stakeholders at all levels.Strong customer service focus and ability to build positive working relationships.Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.Awareness of the commercial impact of technical decisions.Previous experience in a managed service or commercial IT environment.Familiarity with working under formal change control.Technical SkillsWindows Server (including Active Directory Domain Services, DNS, Group Policy, DFS, DHCP)Microsoft Azure (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS) – AZ-900 required, AZ-104 desirable other Microsoft certifications a bonus.Microsoft 365 administration.PKI, Exchange, and related Microsoft infrastructure components.Exposure to scripting and automation (e.g., PowerShell, Puppet, Docker, or equivalent).Experience with management and operational tooling such as anti-virus, backup, disaster recovery, and monitoring solutions.Bonus skills:Linux administration.Networking fundamentals (routing, switching, firewalls).Supporting bespoke applications and customer-specific services.Experience with Infrastructure as Code.Experience with Kubernetes.Experience with virtualisation platforms such as Hyper-V, VMware, or vCloud, including administration and troubleshooting.Additional Requirements:Successful candidates will be required to undergo NPPV3 and SC background checks as part of the role. These are completed after starting employment.
