We are seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Consultant Haematologist to join an established team within the Haematology Department located in the picturesque Wye Valley. What you will do:
- Provide hands-on clinical involvement as a Consultant Haematologist, collaborating closely with three other Consultant Haematologists and one Associate Specialist
- Partake in joint multidisciplinary team meetings and explore potential participation in any future joint on-call or attending systems
- Assume a lead role in a specific area of interest, including participation on related Trust committees, as well as leading educational and audit initiatives in that area
- Engage in clinical trials and act as Principal Investigator for suitable studies
- Develop and maintain working policies and relationships with relevant hospital departments, local general practitioners, and healthcare professionals
- Teach and train medical students, staff, nurse practitioners, and other paramedical personnel
- Actively participate in clinical audit activities within the Department of Haematology and Trust-wide
- Maintain Continuous Professional Development (CPD), with available study leave funding
- Perform on-call duties on a 1 in 4 basis currently virtually, with a Level A β 5% supplement
- If required, undertake other duties suitable for a Consultant Haematologist
