What you will do:
- Lead on complex cases within the Family Safeguarding, Assessment, and Children Looked After teams.
- Facilitate and promote effective practice by mentoring less experienced staff members.
- Research and share current best practices to enhance overall social work strategies.
- Prepare and deliver detailed welfare reports for conferences and court hearings.
- Conduct comprehensive case work in Assessments, Child Protection, Children Looked After, and Care Proceedings.
- Travel within the county to visit service users for assessments and attend meetings in different sites as required.
About you:
You should have extensive specialist knowledge of social work practice as a Senior Practitioner. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential, given the need to prepare and deliver critical reports. A qualified and registered social worker, you must possess significant senior-level frontline experience in a safeguarding team, especially in handling recent casework related to Assessments, Child Protection, and Care Proceedings. You should be ready to travel to serve community needs, with a valid driver's license required for this role.
