Head of Transformation (FTC – 2 years)Salary: circa £90,000Location: Edinburgh (Hybrid)The Law Society of Scotland is the professional body and regulator for over 13,000 Scottish solicitors. As a world class professional body, it regulates Scottish solicitors in the public interest and works to deliver legal excellence, serving the needs of its members and the public.For the last ten years, the Society has been working to bring new legal services regulation legislation into force to better protect consumers and allow the Scottish legal services market to thrive. The Regulation of Legal Services (Scotland) Act 2025 was enacted in June 2025 and provides a raft of new powers and obligations in relation to the Society’s role as a regulator.Working at a strategic level and delivering the necessary change and transformation required by regulatory legislation changes, this unique role is an opportunity to contribute towards the future of the Society and the wider sector. Implementing the new Act is a once in a generation opportunity to improve and modernise legal regulation in Scotland.The ideal candidate will have expertise in change management, business transformation and stakeholder engagement whilst being experienced in working with complexity.
