Are you an experienced warehouse or logistics professional who wishes to join an ever-expanding successful business? We are working with a well-known interior design and home staging business in south west London who are looking to bring on an experienced head of logistics to head up and innovate this part of the company.
As an individual, you will be responsible for managing a team of 15-20 permanent and contractor staff who are responsible for installing and collecting the interior design projects the business undertakes for its clients across central London, the home counties, and nationwide. You will also oversee the management of the company's 3 warehouses and significant stock. Familiar with stock and inventory systems, you will oversee the continued delivery of advanced stock management systems.
You will need to demonstrate considerable management skills as part of the senior team, liaising with the FD, Head of Design, Head of Staging, and Head of BD to ensure the efficiency and productivity of the business. A logistical thinker and problem solver who leads by example, you will play a crucial part in the company's continued growth.
With at least 8-10 years' experience, ideally in a similar position within a logistics company or a related field, you will have management experience, a friendly and positive demeanour, and a detailed understanding of stock management platforms.
You must have:
- Management experience overseeing logistics teams of 15-30 people
- Experience with stock management systems, Inflow or alternatives
- Ability to deal effectively with senior stakeholders in the business
- A positive, problem-solving attitude
- Strong awareness and understanding of Health and Safety
You will be:
- Responsible for the day-to-day logistical operations of the business
- Overseeing and managing the team
- Responsible for the company's proprietary stock as well as clients' stock
- Ensuring all stock is correctly tagged and logged in our management systems
- Strategically planning the company's logistical calendar on a weekly basis, ensuring all installations and collections are executed to the highest standards
