Hawksworth are recruiting for a ‘Head of End-User Computing’ contract role for a 6-month assignment with a European Investment Bank. This vacancy is to fill in for someone while they are on another long-term project. This is an Inside IR35 Contract paying around £750pd to the Umbrella company. A technically hands-off role, a couple of direct reports. As well as doing the main day-to-day management they will be looking for you to have an impact into change & improvements.The job:We are seeking a dynamic and experienced End-User Computing (EUC) Lead to take ownership of all production activities related to EUC, including dealing room support, help desk, and telecoms. The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing current processes, identifying areas for improvement, and driving positive change.Required skills & experience:Essential:Strong experience in end-user computing support within a Investment BankSolid Windows Client technical backgroundExperience and knowledge of virtualizationExperience of voice telecoms systems and compliance voice recordingExperience managing dealing room support, help desk, and telecoms in a fast-paced setting.Proven ability to assess, improve, and optimise IT support operations.Strong stakeholder engagement skills, particularly with senior business leaders.Experience with ITIL frameworks, including incident, problem, and change management.Familiarity with enterprise desktop, mobile, and collaboration technologies (e.g., Citrix, Microsoft 365, Bloomberg, market data applications).Understanding of security and compliance requirements in a financial setting.Ability to manage third-party vendors and service agreements effectively.Desirable:Exposure to VDI (Virtual Desktop Infrastructure) and remote access solutions.Knowledge of trading floor IT support and associated technologies.Understanding of networking fundamentals related to EUC (e.g., VPN, Wi-Fi, corporate LAN).If you are interested in this new vacancy, please apply now to Richard@hawksworthuk.com.We look forward to hearing from you.
