This is for someone who genuinely enjoys being hands-on, fixing problems, keeping things running and being the person others rely on when something goes wrong. If that sounds like you, this could be a really good fit.

I am supporting a business in Haverhill looking to grow its Maintenance Engineering team with their reactive, pro-active, preventative & planned maintenance. They are looking for Multi Skilled Maintenance Technicians, ideally with a mechanical bias who bring a practical, can-do attitude and take pride in doing the job properly.

This is a hands-on maintenance role in a manufacturing environment where attitude and behaviour matter just as much as technical skill. They want people who do not just flag problems, but come with solutions and are willing to get stuck in.

You will be playing a key part in keeping this manufacturing site running, using your knowledge and experience to minimise maintenance costs and equipment downtime. Manufacturing experience would be useful, but it is not the only route in.

I would be particularly keen to hear from those having left or about to leave the Forces with experience in roles such as Marine Technicians / Engineers, Aircraft Mechanics, or similar who have worked on mechanical pumps and valves, where strong maintenance fundamentals, reliability and problem solving are part of the day job.

What we are looking for:

  • Mechanical maintenance experience in a fast-paced environment
  • Good hands-on experience with equipment such as pumps and valves down to component level
  • Work on industrial electrical systems including motors, controls, sensors and associated equipment
  • Strong fault finding, repair and troubleshooting ability
  • A practical, positive and solutions-focused mindset
  • Someone who genuinely enjoys being on the tools

What do we need from you:

  • Ideally Apprenticeship trained with a level 3 and above qualification - City & Guilds, NVQ level 3 or ONC.
  • Experience with equipment maintenance, fault diagnosis and problem solving.
  • Excellent written and spoken English skills
  • Able to drive due to location of site

This is a rotating 2 shift flexible working pattern of 38.75 hours per week. The shift pattern is currently 06:00 - 14:15 or 13:45 - 22:00 Monday to Friday, with weekend cover, on standby on rotation.

What can you expect in return?

  • Competitive base salary + shift allowance (total range in the region of £48,000 - £54,000)
  • Additional payment allowance for being on call
  • Excellent benefits package
