SystemsAccountants is partnering with a growing FTSE 250 business to recruit a Group Finance Systems Administrator to join their Group Finance team. This is a fantastic opportunity to support both business-as-usual systems operations and a major transformation project to implement a new consolidation system.
About the Role
Reporting to the Group Head of FP&A, you’ll be the go-to expert for managing financial data flows, resolving system issues, supporting reporting tools, and partnering with stakeholders across global finance teams. You’ll also play a vital role in maintaining IFRS 16 lease accounting data, assisting in the development of a new consolidation solution, and supporting the month-end close and budgeting processes. This is an ideal position for a hands-on EPM / Finance Systems specialist who enjoys improving processes, working with data, and acting as the bridge between finance and IT.
Key Responsibilities
- Reporting Systems Support & Development
- Support and maintain the group’s EPM financial and management reporting tool
- Serve as the first point of contact for global finance users, managing issues and escalating to Group IT as needed
- Monitor monthly data flows from local ERP systems to the central reporting cubes
- Troubleshoot and resolve data mapping and transformation issues
- Liaise with Group IT and software vendors to manage incidents and implement fixes
- IFRS 16 Lease Accounting
- Support monthly transfer of lease accounting data in Tagetik into OLAP cubes
- Maintain and improve processes for country teams to post adjustments and validate results
- Work with the finance team and vendors to evaluate IFRS 16 treatment in the new consolidation system
- New Consolidation System Implementation
- Assist with the system selection, design, and implementation process
- Provide support on data migration, mapping, testing, and parallel run activities
- Work closely with the project team and finance stakeholders to ensure system requirements are met
- Technical & Analytical Support
- Use SQL, Excel VBA, and Python scripts to support and transform data integrations (particularly with SAP S/4HANA)
- Manage App-Engine and Import Master Scripts to ensure smooth data movement
- Develop and improve financial reports, dashboards, and automation processes
- Contribute to ongoing enhancements and efficiencies in reporting systems and workflows
What We’re Looking For
- Solid experience in a finance systems support role
- Strong knowledge of financial consolidation and reporting systems, such as HFM, Tagetik, OneStream, TM1, Infor d/epm, Cognos Controller
- Advanced Excel skills; familiarity with SQL and VBA essential, Python desirable
- Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
- Confident communicator with strong interpersonal skills, able to work with cross-functional teams
- A self-starter with a keen eye for process improvement and attention to detail
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, multi-currency international environment
