You’ll gain exposure across all stages of the project lifecycle – from early-stage cost planning through to procurement and post-contract support.Typical tasks include:Cost Planning & Estimating:• Assisting with preparation of budget estimates and elemental cost plans• Supporting value engineering and feasibility assessments• Working with project teams to understand design and cost impactsProcurement Support:• Helping to prepare tender documentation• Supporting tender analysis and contractor appointment processes• Assisting with the preparation of contract documentsPost-Contract Management:• Monitoring project costs and preparing payment recommendations• Supporting change control processes and cost forecasting• Attending site and progress meetings with the project team• Learning to manage commercial risks and support client objectivesWhat do we look for?• A degree (or on track to complete one) in Quantity Surveying, Cost Management, or a related discipline• A keen interest in the built environment and infrastructure development• Strong analytical and numerical skills with attention to detail• A collaborative mindset and willingness to learn from experienced mentors• Good communication and interpersonal skills• Enthusiasm, ambition, and a proactive approach to problem-solving• A desire to work towards chartershipWant to find out more?To learn more over a confidential chat, simply apply or contact Zoe Evans, Head of Talent at recruitment@brookbanks.comLocationsFlexible, hybrid working in any of our offices:Birmingham, Bristol, Bishop’s Stortford or Exeter
