The Role
We are seeking a Senior Forward Deployed Engineer to design and deliver complex enterprise implementations while working closely with customers, engineering, and product teams. This role combines hands-on software development, technical consulting, and solution architecture to deploy AI-powered products in real-world environments.
Responsibilities
- Lead planning, scoping, and delivery of complex customer implementations from discovery through launch.
- Act as the technical escalation point for integration and implementation challenges, debugging complex issues and designing robust solutions.
- Run technical discovery sessions with customers, translating ambiguous requirements into clear technical solutions.
- Design implementation approaches and influence architectural decisions based on real-world deployment needs.
- Collaborate closely with Product, Engineering, Customer Success, and other cross-functional teams to align product capabilities with customer requirements.
- Build internal playbooks, improve delivery processes, and mentor junior engineers.
- Communicate technical insights and recommendations clearly to customers and internal stakeholders to help guide product improvements.
- Write and debug production code for customer deployments and internal tooling using Python, JavaScript, and SQL.
Qualifications
- B.S. in Computer Science or a related technical discipline, or equivalent experience.
- 6-8+ years of software engineering, systems engineering, or technical product/program management experience.
Required Skills
- Deep expertise across multiple product domains; ability to debug complex integrations and build custom solutions.
- Strong communication skills β able to lead discovery sessions, manage client expectations, present technical tradeoffs, and influence stakeholders.
- Demonstrated track record mentoring or leading other engineers, creating documentation/playbooks, and contributing to internal process improvements and knowledge sharing.
- Cross-functional coordination skills, organizational leadership in delivery settings, and ability to own multiple customer timelines concurrently.
- Coding competency in SQL, JavaScript and Python.
