We are seeking an experienced and proactive Electrical Design Engineer – Senior PSCAD to support offshore wind farm and grid integration projects across a growing international renewable energy portfolio. This role focuses on delivering high-quality EMT and RMS power system studies, supporting grid compliance activities, and collaborating with multidisciplinary engineering teams in a dynamic project environment. The successful candidate will bring strong technical expertise in PSCAD and DigSILENT PowerFactory, with the ability to independently manage studies while adapting to evolving project priorities and workloads.

Key Responsibilities

  • Developing and validating EMT and RMS simulation models in PSCAD and DIgSILENT PowerFactory
  • Creating and maintaining models for:
    • Wind Turbine Generators (WTGs)
    • Power Plant Controllers (PPCs)
    • STATCOMs and associated grid-support equipment
  • Planning and executing:
    • Grid Code compliance studies
    • Small disturbance analyses
    • Fault and transient performance studies
  • Producing clear, audit-ready technical documentation for:
    • Internal engineering reviews
    • External regulatory and compliance submissions
  • Supporting grid connection and system integration workstreams
  • Coordinating with OEMs regarding model delivery

Requirements

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems Engineering, or equivalent (BEng, MSc, or PhD)
  • Minimum 5 years' hands-on experience performing EMT studies using PSCAD
  • Strong expertise in DIgSILENT PowerFactory, including steady-state analysis and RMS simulations
  • Experience working with vendor/OEM models, model parameterization, and grid compliance validation
  • Scripting and automation skills for engineering workflows and post-processing
  • Experience coordinating with OEMs on model delivery and technical validation
  • Strong technical reporting and stakeholder communication skills
  • Ability to work independently while maintaining high engineering quality standards
  • Strong data confidentiality and professional documentation practices
