We're working with a well-established, scaled consumer business to find a Frontend Developer who wants to own product across web and mobile. This is a company with a large and growing engineering function, and the teams here work end to end - from design and architecture through to delivery and production. The app is a core part of the business and you'll be working directly on it.
As a Frontend Developer, you'll be building features across both the React web platform and the React Native app, using TypeScript throughout. The mobile experience is a priority for the team right now, so someone who is confident shipping production React Native and cares about how the app actually performs in the real world will fit straight in.
Key Responsibilities:- Build and maintain features across both the React web platform and React Native app, with TypeScript as the language across both.
- Take ownership of app performance, reliability, and the quality of the mobile experience end to end.
- Work across iOS and Android surfaces, handling the nuances of each platform where needed.
- Integrate with backend services and contribute to how the frontend interacts with APIs and event-driven data.
- Work with AWS infrastructure and contribute to CI/CD processes alongside the wider engineering team.
- Contribute to technical design discussions, code reviews, and the ongoing improvement of how the team builds.
- Strong commercial experience with React Native, shipping to production on iOS and Android.
- Solid TypeScript skills used day to day across both web (React) and mobile (React Native).
- Comfortable working with AWS in a production context.
- Familiarity with app store deployment processes, release management, and mobile-specific debugging.
- An eye for quality in the user experience, not just the code.
- A collaborative communicator who works well with product, design, and backend engineers.
- Up to £79,000 base salary plus bonus and equity.
- Fully remote within the UK.
- Option of a 4-day working week.
- A genuine ownership culture where engineers are trusted to do their best work.
If you're a Frontend Developer with strong React Native experience who wants to work on a consumer product that people use every day, this is worth a conversation. Apply below or get in touch and we'll come back to you quickly.
