This is an exciting opportunity to join the UK nuclear industry as a AMS Business Process Subject Matter Expert, supporting the effective use of the Asset Management System (AMS) to enable safe, efficient and compliant operations. Working within a complex and highly regulated environment, you will play a key role in supporting critical business processes including work management, safety management and the maintenance of design integrity. The role offers the chance to work closely with multidisciplinary teams, applying your expertise to optimise system use, improve operational processes and contribute to the safe management of nuclear assets across the organisation.
Applicants should be able to demonstrate the following skills/experience:
- Strong knowledge and practical experience of Asset Management Systems (AMS)
- Experience supporting or improving business processes within engineering or operational environments
- Understanding of work management processes, including planning and work engineering
- Experience with safety management systems, including risk assessment and risk management processes
- Ability to analyse complex processes and identify opportunities for improvement
- Experience providing subject matter expertise or technical guidance to stakeholders
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams
- Experience supporting system implementation, upgrades or process changes
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities
- Experience working within highly regulated industries (e.g. nuclear, energy, defence or utilities)
- Strong documentation and process development skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Role information:
- Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the Asset Management System (AMS)
- Provide expertise in the use and application of AMS across business processes
- Support Maintain Design Integrity processes within AMS
- Support Radiological Safety processes within AMS
- Support Safety Management processes within AMS
- Support Work Management processes within AMS
- Provide SME support for AMS Work Management modules, including Work Engineering and Work Week Planning
- Provide SME support for AMS Safety Management modules, including risk assessment and risk management
- Provide guidance and support to users on AMS functionality and best practice
- Support operational, engineering and safety teams in the effective use of AMS
- Identify opportunities to improve system usage and business processes
- Support the development and optimisation of AMS-related processes
- Provide input into system improvements, changes and updates
- Support the implementation of AMS system changes and enhancements
- Ensure AMS processes align with operational, safety and regulatory requirements
- Provide technical input to projects impacting AMS processes
- Support user training and knowledge sharing related to AMS processes
- Engage with stakeholders to ensure system functionality meets operational needs
- Assist in maintaining compliance with nuclear safety and operational governance requirements
