Rooted in craftsmanship, sustainability, and femininity, we create collections that empower women through beautifully tailored pieces, inspired by nature and British traditions.Role Overview:We are seeking a talented freelance designer with a strong background in tailoring and technical outerwear, specifically within the niche of bird shooting and deer stalking apparel. The ideal candidate will bring deep experience in working with British tweed and sustainable, weather-resistant fabrics, and a keen understanding of both function and form in countryside garments. You will collaborate with our Head of Design and align with the vision of our Creative Director to help develop seasonal capsule collections and key silhouettes for our country wear line.Key Responsibilities:Design and develop tailored garments for the country wear collection, with a focus on bird shooting and stalking pieces (jackets, breeks, waistcoats, field coats, etc.)Select and develop appropriate sustainable materials such as British tweed, waxed cotton, and other water- and weather-resistant fabricsWork closely with pattern cutters and sample machinists to ensure precision in fit, durability, and silhouetteEnsure all designs reflect the vision and standards of the Creative Director and are aligned with the brand’s aesthetic and valuesCollaborate with the wider design team on seasonal concepts, colour stories, and technical developmentsMaintain awareness of heritage references while also evolving the collection with relevant modern detailsParticipate in fittings, reviews, and technical handoversSupport the design team with clear and detailed tech packs, fabric sourcing, and production-ready specsExperience & Skills Required:5+ years of experience in luxury fashion design, with a focus on tailoring or technical outerwearDemonstrated expertise in designing shooting/stalking apparel or performance-oriented heritage garmentsStrong knowledge of British and sustainable fabrics including tweeds, waxed cotton, wool, and eco-fabricsUnderstanding of traditional tailoring techniques and functional construction for field useAble to balance heritage style with practical innovationExcellent technical drawing and CAD skillsStrong communication and teamwork skills with a collaborative approachExperience working on freelance projects or in-house seasonal rolesPassion for British countryside style, craftsmanship, and sustainabilityPersonal Qualities:Detail-oriented and quality-drivenAble to interpret and express brand DNA in every designResponsive, professional, and able to work to deadlinesEnthusiastic about storytelling through clothing and materialsHow to Apply:Please apply via Easy Apply on LinkedIn with your CV.
