The work we undertake is people and community-focused, often working with heritage assets, blending new and old architectures, striving for innovative sustainable solutions, while always seeking to catalyse life and activity in our towns and cities.Increasingly, our markets are not just about the traders on the ground floor – they’re about creating versatile spaces which contribute to the life of a place from early morning to late evening. Our work considers markets from a macro-scale of how they contribute to the wider urban context, right down to the micro-scale of how an individual trades.Within the context of the market, we are also involved with other complementary uses that contribute to the richness of the place, such as office or start-up space, restaurants, leisure, residential and public realm.The OpportunityWe are seeking a freelance experienced Architect with strong technical skills, particularly in Heritage and Stage 4/construction. This role offers significant design responsibility and ownership, supported by our senior team members.Key RequirementsTo be considered, candidates should ideally meet most or all of the following criteria:Relevant qualifications in architecture or constructionAdvanced AutoCAD skills (essential)Proficiency in Revit (highly desirable)Experience working with listed/heritage buildingsIn-depth knowledge of UK statutory regulationsExpertise in RIBA Stages 4 and beyondExcellent design and spatial planning abilitiesStrong time management and organisational skillsAbility to prioritise and manage challenging deadlines, working independently and proactivelyEffective communication and collaboration with team members, consultants, contractors, and sub-contractorsExcellent written and spoken EnglishConfident, positive communicator with clients and project stakeholdersIdeal location London **We are currently unable to offer visa sponsorship for this role**
