With a strong technical capability and a commitment to driving product innovation, they continue to expand their portfolio and strengthen their market presence.Formulation Chemist opportunity:On behalf of our client, we are seeking a talented and forward-thinking Formulation Chemist to take ownership of product innovation and enhancement within the chemical sector. This is a hands-on leadership role, guiding projects from initial concept through to commercial launch, ensuring products meet technical, market, and commercial objectives.Formulation Chemist responsibilitiesCollaborate with the in-house team of experienced chemists to develop and trial advanced chemical products.Research new raw materials, formulations, and emerging technologies, staying ahead of industry developments.Conduct competitor analysis to identify opportunities for product innovation.Enhance performance and cost-effectiveness of existing products.Initiate and manage multiple product development projects, delivering within agreed timelines.Monitor product performance by engaging with customers, sales teams, and internal service departments.Work closely with production and regulatory functions to ensure compliant, timely product launches.Formulation Chemist requirementsBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering (or equivalent).Coatings experience highly desirable.Previous industrial experience in product development within the chemical industry is highly advantageous.Strong organisational skills with meticulous attention to detail.Excellent problem-solving capabilities with a creative approach.Confident communicator with the ability to engage at all levels.IT literate, ideally with experience using laboratory software.BenefitsCompetitive salary (DOE).27 days’ annual leave plus statutory bank holidays.Annual company bonus scheme.Free staff lunches.Free onsite parking.
