Flight Reservations Specialist :An award-winning travel company are recruiting for a Flight Reservations Specialist to join their team. The Flight Reservations Specialist will be responsible for administering new bookings through varied systems including Galileo, whilst supporting the product support team and building relationships with airlines . This is a varied role and will work closely with other departments to improve performance including sales and also maximise any opportunities through the selection of fares. This role can be fully remote dependent on experience and offers a basic salary up to Β£30k and will be working on a small shift pattern . This role would be suitable for someone who either is a reservations consultant, corporate travel consultant, ticketing consultant or travel agent who is looking to move into a more specialist role in travel.Flight Reservations Specialist responsibilities:Managing fare and ticketing queuesOffering the best options to the sales agents on flights and fares advising of the best productsCheck fares on a regular basis to save and generate extra revenue.Offer help to the sales team in using offline systems.Maintain professionalism and credibility with airline contacts.Reviewing reports looking at trends and areas for improvement and report this to the Head of Operations.Complete work to a high standard to strict timescalesFlight Reservations Specialist skills required: Knowledge of a gds ideally Galileo but will consider Amadeus or Sabre but training will be provided.Experience working in travel with a good knowledge of putting together long-haul travel itinerariesThe ability to find alternative carrier/route options.The ability to work under pressure and be able to prioritise a workload.Knowledge of routes and fares and confident looking at alternative routes and faresExcellent attention to detail with excellent communication skillsIf you would like to apply for the role of Flight Reservations Specialist , please apply to rachel@candm.co.uk or call Rachel 01612384491
