Our client is an ambitious Alt-Net and gearing up to connect 25,000 new homes in 2025, and they’re looking for a Fibre Planner to help bolster the team and achieve this yearly goal. At present, they are expanding their global footprint and transforming how broadband is delivered. With major network rollouts underway and a genuine commitment to doing things differently, you’ll have the chance to influence strategy and shape the planning strategy. The leadership team is all-in on innovation, and if there’s a smarter way to do something, the CEO will back you to make it happen. They have already disrupted the market with their refreshingly honest approach and now they’re scaling up, investing in the latest tech to bring seamless, high-speed connectivity to thousands more.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure fibre projects are delivered accurately, on time, and in line with design specifications
  • Coordinate and schedule planning tasks across multiple projects
  • Prioritise workloads and monitor progress of planning activities
  • Take ownership of planning from execution through to delivery
  • Produce detailed fibre network maps for civils, fibre build, and customer installs
  • Support field teams with clear, accurate mapping and planning data
  • Liaise with internal teams, external partners, and third parties
  • Plan and coordinate network changes, upgrades, and expansions
  • Ensure all planning aligns with agreed design standards and methodologies

Skills/Must have:

  • A deep understanding of end-to-end fibre network build processes
  • Strong personal motivation and the ability to deliver consistently within key performance indicators
  • A solid track record of success in the telecoms sector, particularly within project delivery or planning roles
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively across teams
  • Experience with GIS platforms and mapping tools
  • Proficiency in desktop planning tools and processes
  • Confidence in preparing detailed job packs to support engineering and build teams
