Learn more about our work here: www.artelier.com Education and experienceEducated to a minimum of a university degree level in architecture/interiors/design, or an art related subject.At least 7 years’ relevant professional experience and training in interior design/art consultancy and project delivery for an international firm.Track record of designing and delivering largescale and complex international design projects and programmes.Experience and evidence of successfully managing budgets over £500k.Team leadership and ability to inspire and managing a team of 5 or more.Experience of working closely with client team and managing project relations.Experience of managing suppliers – preferably with experience of working with artists and galleries.Proven technical skills and proficiency with project management software, as well as Adobe Creative suite (Photoshop, InDesign), and AutoCAD.Sound first-hand experience of managing the commissioning process of bespoke and complex artwork.Knowledge and experience of accessories suppliers and procurement processes.Portfolio of design work and curation for projects – concept presentations through to detailed design, specification and documentation – preferably with art elements.Creative, fresh and dynamic approach to design, accessories, styling and artwork curation.Passion for modern and contemporary art, with a genuine desire to expand knowledge in this field. Role outline – Art ConsultantAs an Art Consultant, you will focus on researching, developing and delivering curated artwork collections for a full range of our projects. With the support of the Artelier wider team, you will: You will carry out contextual research and development of artistic themes for the projects – a process which will inform the artwork direction, as well as the accessories.Importantly, this can be considered a ‘hybrid’ role where the boundaries between artwork, craft and accessories blur to create an interwoven and holistic outcome.You will support the company in illustrating artwork ideas, specifically using hand-drawing and graphic design software skills to visualise concepts.Carryout ongoing background research into new artists and artwork developments for our artwork library – which is managed by a colleague.Be responsible for developing sophisticated, well-researched and contextually relevant accessories concept presentations.Read spaces and intelligently curate meaningful collections with narratives that relate to the project theme and draw parallels with the wider artwork curation.Refine and evolve the concept presentations through to schematic design mark-ups on floor plans, elevations and renders.Prepare detailed design documents and schedules with item specification, procurement details and supplier information.Liaise with suppliers to establish stock levels, commissioning details and arrange sampling.Prepare detailed programme and budgets.Lead on client communication and travel where appropriate.Take a lead in the procurement and commission management of key pieces.Dress and style projects onsite.Lead in researching and establishing an innovative and unique library of accessories and suppliers, including specific thematic categories, materials, techniques which can be tailored to our projects.GeneralAs a small company you will also likely be involved in other more day-to-day and administrative tasks. You will be conscientious, highly professional, and confident being in a client facing role. Whilst at the same time, you will work well in a team and be a personable new addition to our friendly team.
