We are currently seeking an experienced and driven Quality Assurance Manager to lead and develop our Quality Assurance function within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This is a fantastic opportunity for a proactive professional to take ownership of site quality performance, customer satisfaction, and continuous improvement initiatives.

The Role

  • Lead, manage, and develop the QA team to deliver site quality objectives
  • Oversee customer quality issues and complaints, ensuring timely resolution
  • Conduct and lead Quality Review Meetings with key customers
  • Take full accountability for non-conforming products, including containment, rework, and scrap decisions
  • Ensure compliance with quality management systems and industry standards (e.g. BRC, AIB)
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to drive root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventative actions
  • Manage quality-related costs, including customer credits
  • Participate in internal audits and support continuous improvement activities
  • Support operational teams with quality communication, including shop-floor engagement
  • Prepare and deliver presentations for customer visits, workshops, and internal meetings
  • Drive training and development within the quality team

About You

  • Proven experience in a manufacturing environment (flexible packaging experience is advantageous)
  • Minimum 5 years' experience leading and developing teams
  • Strong understanding of quality management systems and standards
  • Degree or diploma in Quality Management, Chemistry, Packaging Technology, or similar
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence and challenge constructively
  • Strong planning, organisation, and problem-solving skills
  • High attention to detail with a pragmatic, hands-on approach
  • Knowledge of printing, lamination, and slitting processes is beneficial
