A leading hedge fund is now looking to recruit an Equity Analyst into their team.The role will join a very successful team of fund managers and analysts who have a superb track record in investing.The role will work on the following :Active Identification of investment opportunities for the fundIdentification of events which can trigger a gain or loss in value of a stockRecommending buy and sell side trades to the Portfolio ManagersCarrying out detailed financial modelling and analysis of investment opportunitiesMonitoring existing positionsActive member of the investment teamThey are interested in people who will have a background as follows:ACA qualified with a major accounting firm with first time passes2.1 or 1st class degreeAAA in A levels - probably A* in Maths Real interest in financial marketsTechnically excellent, with a real interest in forensic analysis of company accountsBackground in audit, TS, forensic accounting
