This position is offered as a 12-month fixed-term contract and requires the candidate to be fully based on-site 5 days a week. Experience:
- 5 to 7 years of hands-on experience in enterprise network engineering within complex, high-availability environments.
Technical Expertise:
- Load Balancing: In-depth experience with F5 Local Traffic Manager (LTM) for application delivery and traffic optimization.
- Content Delivery & Security: Proficient in implementing and managing Akamai CDN and associated security solutions.
- Firewall & Security Management: Advanced knowledge of Fortinet FortiGate firewalls and centralized administration through FortiManager. Operational experience with Juniper SRX firewalls and Juniper EX/QFX switches.
- Network Access Control: Strong working knowledge of Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE) for RADIUS-based authentication and access control policies.
- Switching Infrastructure: Experience managing Cisco Nexus 7000 series core switches in large-scale data center environments.
- Security & Segmentation: Proven track record in designing and maintaining Access Control Lists (ACLs), network segmentation, and perimeter defense strategies.
- Networking Fundamentals: Deep understanding of Layer 2 and Layer 3 networking, including VLANs, trunking, and inter-VLAN routing. Strong command of routing protocols such as BGP, OSPF, and EIGRP, with a focus on redundancy and high availability designs.
- Troubleshooting & Analysis: Demonstrated ability to perform effective packet capture and log analysis for diagnosing network performance and security issues. Skilled in using diagnostic tools such as Wireshark, tcpdump, and vendor-specific logging platforms.
- Monitoring & Management: Familiarity with enterprise network monitoring tools, including SolarWinds, SNMP-based systems, and custom dashboards for real-time health and performance monitoring.
