Key Responsibilities
- Apply data science, machine learning, and AI techniques to solve complex, real-world problems
- Research, design, and implement innovative models and solutions
- Work across the full ML lifecycle from requirements gathering and prototyping to deployment and live service support
- Deliver high-quality, scalable solutions with measurable impact
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in agile environments

Essential Skills & Experience
- Proven experience applying data science or machine learning in Defence, Security, public sector, or academia
- Strong understanding of machine learning models (e.g. Transformers, CNNs, Generative AI) and their practical applications
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex ideas clearly
- Experience working with stakeholders and cross-functional teams
- Track record of contributing to project delivery, innovation, or capability development
Desirable Skills
- Experience working with text, audio, image, or video data
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Strong Python skills and experience with ML libraries and frameworks (e.g. TensorFlow, PyTorch)
- Knowledge of statistics and probability
- Experience with ML lifecycle tools (e.g. MLflow, Kubeflow, Argo)
- Understanding of Ethical and Responsible AI principles
