Role Purpose: Oversee and coordinate day‐to‐day civils activities on site, ensuring safe, compliant, and efficient delivery of groundworks, drainage, ducting, earthworks, concrete works, foundations, and associated infrastructure in line with project specifications, drawings, and HSE/CDM requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise daily civils works including groundworks, drainage, ducting, earthworks, concrete pours, rebar, shuttering, and structural elements.
  • Coordinate subcontractors, labour, plant, and materials to meet programme targets.
  • Ensure all works are delivered safely, enforcing site rules, RAMS, permits, and CDM compliance.
  • Review drawings, specifications, ITPs, and ensure works are built to design and quality standards.
  • Carry out inspections, sign‐offs, and maintain accurate QA records (ITPs, check sheets, NCRs, RFIs).
  • Monitor progress, report issues, and support planning of upcoming works.
  • Liaise with engineers, site managers, designers, and client representatives to resolve technical queries.
  • Maintain site diaries, permits, delivery records, and daily reporting.
  • Ensure correct installation of utilities, drainage, ducting, chambers, and foundations.
  • Drive productivity, problem‐solve on site, and ensure works are completed to programme.

Skills & Experience:

  • Strong background in civils construction (groundworks, drainage, concrete, utilities, earthworks).
  • Experience supervising subcontractors and direct labour.
  • Good understanding of drawings, specifications, QA processes, and ITPs.
  • Solid knowledge of HSE, RAMS, permits, and CDM regulations.
  • Ability to coordinate multiple work fronts and manage site logistics.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills.
  • CSCS Supervisor/Gold Card, SSSTS/SMSTS preferred.
