Glenrinnes Distillery is looking for a talented and detail-oriented Distiller to join the team full time. The ideal candidate will have at least one year\’s experience in the field and preferably a degree in distilling. Detailed training will form part of the role. Salary is negotiable depending upon experience.Glenrinnes Distillery is a 5,400 sq/ft facility in the Speyside region of Scotland. The company launched its super-premium organic spirits brand, Eight Lands in June 2019. The distillery now produces a small number of products alongside its core range. The site is well-equipped with a 1,000 litre pot still and two ten-plate columns, as well as semi-automated bottling line.Scope of Role:We are looking for a Distiller to join the team at Glenrinnes Distillery. This person will work alongside the Production Coordinator, reporting to the Distillery Manager. The main focus is producing and bottling consistently high-quality spirits in line with operating procedures.Days:The role will be based on a Monday-Friday working week.Key Responsibilities:Supports distilling scheduling to meet with targetsRuns distillationsQuality control, library samples, lab testingProduction-side stock takes, incoming ingredients and liquidsSupports procurement process in line with production requirementsMaintenance schedule for production equipmentHelps with tours and outside events, including VIP toursBottling and labellingFulfilment of consumer and trade ordersEnsures compliance with SALSA, organic accreditation, etc.Requirements:Eligible to work in the UK without sponsorshipProduction experience in a distilling environmentAbility to follow and contribute to management systems and operating proceduresConfidence in the science and mathematics of effective distillery operationsDemonstrated ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organisationExperience and confidence in customer-facing situationsConfident and organised in dealing with suppliers, maintenance contractors, etc.Understanding of HMRC licensing requirements and submissions preferredCommitment to health and safety and quality assurance vitalThe business is family-owned and situated on a family estate in a rural location in the heart of whisky country.
