Wood is recruiting for a Dimensional Control Surveyor to join their Team in our Aberdeen office on a PSC contract basis working outside of IR35. Offshore trips will be required.
Responsibilities include:
- Attend presurvey meetings to discuss scope of work and provide dimensional control knowledge to contracts.
- Prepare equipment for shipping to site and complete post survey checks.
- Report any issues to Business Support Team Lead / Lead Engineering Surveyor.
- Complete training for site specific requirements.
- Complete dimensional control surveys as directed by contract.
- Produce daily report and resolve technical issues with engineering team during survey.
- Provide dimensional control/survey expertise to contracts.
- Process survey data following procedures.
- Complete checking of survey calculations, processing and deliverables following procedures.
- Ensure site survey activities are conducted safely with correct controls in place.
- Issue deliverables and maintain issue record and data management systems.
- Maintain and update control management system.
- Provide discipline expertise to the business.
- Effective delivery of assigned work scopes in accordance with Engineering & Design Process and Procedures.
- Adhere to and comply with relevant discipline specific Procedures and provide feedback for continuous improvement.
- Provide discipline input to scope definition and execution.
- Execute assigned personal objectives.
- Participate in audits and incident investigations as required.
- Ensure self-awareness of relevant regulatory framework, legislation changes, initiatives, and industry technology developments.
Minimum Qualifications:
- MSc, MEng or equivalent professional qualification
- BSc, B.Eng or equivalent with relevant experience
- Or HND in surveying related subject or equivalent with relevant considerable experience
