A boutique management consultancy specialising in local government innovation and digital transformation is seeking an experienced Senior Consultant with a strong background in service design, organisational change and technology-enabled transformation. This role will support a high-impact capability-building programme within a local authority, with a focus on embedding digital tools and data-driven approaches into service delivery.You will work closely with senior service leads across Local Authority Transformation, helping them adopt user-centered design practices alongside digital and data capabilities. You will coach teams on integrating service design with agile delivery, low-code platforms, and data visualisation tools, enabling sustainable transformation and improved outcomes for residents.Key Responsibilities:Provide hands-on coaching to service leads on applying service design and digital transformation toolsDesign and deliver training sessions that integrate user-centered design with digital workflows, agile methods and data literacySupport service leaders to embed digital thinking into service redesign and organisational reformCollaborate with transformation teams, IT, data and digital leads to align efforts across the councilChampion resident-centered, tech-enabled approaches that support strategic priorities and measurable impactRequirements:5–10 years of experience in service design, digital transformation or public sector innovationProven ability to coach and mentor non-specialist teams in design-led and tech-enabled approachesExperience working with or within local authorities or the wider public sectorFamiliarity with digital tools such as Miro, Power BI, low-code platforms (e.g. Power Apps), or agile delivery frameworksStrong facilitation, communication and stakeholder engagement skillsAbility to work in complex environments and support change from withinDetails:Start date: September 2025Duration: 3 months, with possibility for extension or permanentDay rate: Up to Β£350 PAYE depending on experienceLocation: Hybrid – 2 days per week in London office with occasional site visits
