A fantastic opportunity for a DevOps Engineer to join a well-established technology company delivering secure, scalable software solutions within a highly regulated environment. This role will play a key part in driving automation, improving deployment processes, and ensuring the reliability and performance of critical systems. You will work across both cloud and on-premise environments, supporting modern DevOps practices and contributing to continuous delivery and platform evolution. Proven hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure is essential for this role.

Location: Leicestershire – hybrid, expected in the office at least 2 days per week.

Requirements for DevOps Engineer:

  • Strong commercial experience with Microsoft Azure is essential for this role.
  • Strong commercial experience working in a DevOps or Platform Engineering role.
  • Experience working within security-focused or highly regulated environments.
  • Strong knowledge of CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or GitLab CI.
  • Experience managing cloud and on-premise infrastructure, particularly within Microsoft environments.
  • Strong understanding of networking, security, and system administration principles.
  • Experience with containerisation and orchestration tools such as Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Familiarity with scripting languages such as Bash, Python or PowerShell.
  • Experience with monitoring and logging solutions.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively across teams.
  • Eligibility to obtain UK security clearance.

Desirable:

  • Experience with GitOps and modern deployment strategies.
  • Exposure to multiple cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure or GCP.
  • Experience working in Agile environments.
  • Degree educated in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject.

Responsibilities for DevOps Engineer:

  • Design, implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines to support efficient software delivery.
  • Administer and optimise cloud and on-premise application environments.
  • Implement monitoring and logging solutions across systems and applications.
  • Ensure security best practices are embedded across infrastructure and deployment processes.
  • Develop scripts and tooling to automate routine tasks and improve operational efficiency.
  • Support the full application lifecycle, including troubleshooting and resolving deployment issues.
  • Manage incidents and requests in line with structured frameworks such as ITIL.
  • Collaborate closely with software engineering and IT teams to support delivery and reliability.
  • Contribute to improving system scalability, performance and resilience.
