Peaple Talent has partnered with a growing organisation in Farnborough to recruit for a Datacentre Engineer. Within this role, you will be responsible for providing technical IT support to a diverse customer base ensuring that service levels are maintained to a high standard. This role is 5 days onsite in Farnborough. You must meet SC and BPSS security clearance to be accepted for this position.
The Role:
- Install network, server and storage hardware, including cabling and patching
- Lead important auditing work to support client hardware
- Install copper and fibre cabling/patching tasks
- Remotely support data centres by replacing hardware, cabling testing, power cycling equipment and network cards
The Candidate:
- Excellent knowledge of server, network and storage support and installation
- Background working in a datacentre with copper/fibre cabling experience
- Able to work autonomously and as part of a team
- Must be able to be onsite 5 days a week in Farnborough and meet SC and BPSS security clearance
- Comfortable working within a 24/7 x 365 on-call rota

- Basic salary: up to £28,000 plus £5k on-call allowance
