We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Technical Project Manager for Data Analytics Services to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing technical projects related to legacy data platform migration, data lake build, and data analytics across multiple cloud platforms. This role requires a blend of project management expertise and technical acumen to ensure successful delivery of complex data projects on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Project Management: Lead and manage legacy data platform migration (Teradata, Hadoop), data lake build, and data analytics projects from initiation to completion. Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope, timelines, resource allocation, and budgets. Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies to ensure successful project delivery. Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including data engineers, data scientists, and IT professionals, to ensure seamless execution of projects.
  • Technical Leadership: Provide technical guidance and expertise on data migration strategies, data lake architectures, and data analytics solutions. Ensure best practices in data management, data integration, and data security are adhered to throughout the project lifecycle. Collaborate with AWS, Azure, GCP, Databricks, and Snowflake experts to leverage cloud capabilities and ensure optimal performance of data solutions.
  • Stakeholder Management: Act as the primary point of contact for clients, providing regular project updates and addressing any concerns or requirements. Facilitate communication between technical teams and non-technical stakeholders to ensure alignment on project goals and deliverables. Manage stakeholder expectations and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices in project management and technical delivery. Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in data services, data migration, and cloud computing.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in technical project management or technical delivery, specifically in data analytics services, legacy data platform migrations, or data lake projects.
  • Strong understanding of data architectures, data integration, and data analytics.
  • Experience with cloud platforms including AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
  • Experience migrating On-prem data platforms to Databricks and Snowflake for data engineering and analytics.
  • Experience with SAP systems and SAP HANA is a plus.
  • Excellent project management skills, with proficiency in project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Jira).
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • PMP, PRINCE2, or similar project management certification is preferred.
