Content Policy Managers play a key role in scoping, prioritizing and executing various projects and initiatives, ranging from policy development and implementation, stakeholder training and awareness, and managing critical internal and external partnerships. In this role, you will be exposed to a wide array of technical and non‑technical projects at any one time that support LinkedIn’s trust principles and operations.

Responsibilities

  • Research, build and communicate global policies that impact broad‑reaching issues of safety and expression across products and advertisements on LinkedIn.
  • Critically analyze inputs from internal and external partners to establish long‑term content and product policy stances, standards, and strategies.
  • Autonomously manage multiple complex policy projects across all stages of the development and implementation lifecycle.
  • Respond to escalations and use escalation trends to inform policy guidance and communication needs.
  • Craft and communicate effective data‑driven stories and updates to senior leadership in order to influence decisions and outcomes.
  • Work collaboratively with business and technical stakeholders to identify optimal solutions based on a variety of criteria (cost, level of effort, ROI, complexity, timing, etc.).
  • Provide updates on the status and overall health of regional and global workstreams to stakeholders and management on a regular basis.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in policy writing, product risk management, policy operations, or digital trust & safety.
  • BA/BS degree in a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Outstanding organizational as well as verbal and written communication skills.
  • Technology industry experience, with emphasis on experience in addressing complex systematic and emerging risks and issues.
  • Training and instructional design experience.
  • Excellent relationship skills; ability to establish credibility and rapport with technical and non‑technical team members and to work collaboratively and cross‑functionally.
  • Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills.
  • Ability to understand business and technical requirements and “speak the language” of the various stakeholders.
  • Ability to influence and negotiate prioritization of product changes.
  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects effectively and maintain a high level of attention to detail.
  • Ability to adapt to changing business and technical conditions.
  • Experience with metrics, analysis and other data‑driven decision making.
  • Ability to develop working knowledge of technical aspects of systems, including configuration, settings, logging, and permissions.
