CNC Mechanical Fitter– Workshop-Based RoleLocation: Acton Works | Pay Rate: £39.24 per hour | Start: ASAPWe are working with a leading engineering organisation on behalf of a highly skilled workshop team, who are currently seeking a Mechanical Fitter / CNC operative to join their rolling stock upgrade projects. This is a hands-on, workshop-based role in a collaborative and safety-focused environment.Key Responsibilities:Assemble components and systems following detailed work instructions and assembly drawingsUse hand tools, power tools, and measuring instruments (Vernier, Micrometer, ruler) accuratelyApply torque using torque wrenches and follow witness marking proceduresOperate and maintain machinery and workshop equipment, including overhead cranes (desirable)Contribute to a collaborative, high-performing workshop teamEssential Requirements:Level 3 Electrical or Mechanical qualification (or equivalent)Proven ability to read and follow detailed work instructions and assembly drawingsExperience using torque wrenches and measuring toolsDesirable Skills / Experience:Rail or heavy engineering experienceCNC experience, with programming knowledge considered a plusComponent assembly and system maintenanceExperience with overhead cranes and workshop equipment
