Careers Adviser (Level 6 Qualified) – Cheshire and ManchesterSupport young people to build their future with confidenceWe’re looking for qualified and experienced Careers Advisers to work with students as they plan their next steps. This is a rewarding role for someone who enjoys helping young people explore what’s possible and take positive action toward their goals. This role will be for in-person guidance to be delivered across a number of schools across Manchester and Cheshire.What you’ll doDeliver one-to-one guidance sessions with students to understand their interests, strengths, and future plansProvide clear advice on education and training pathways, including sixth form, college, apprenticeships, and workLead group sessions on topics like CVs, interviews, applications, and making career decisionsOffer tailored support to help students build skills, access opportunities, and overcome barriersWork closely with teachers, Careers Leaders, and local employers to widen access to experiences and adviceKeep your knowledge up to date with changes in the job market and the education landscapeRecord activity and outcomes clearly and consistently in line with service standardsWhat you’ll needA recognised Level 6 qualification in Careers GuidanceConfidence in working with young people from a range of backgrounds and needsExcellent communication skills and the ability to build trust quicklyA calm, organised approach with strong time management skillsThe ability to work independently while contributing to a wider teamA genuine belief in the importance of good careers educationA clean driving licenceJob Types Available: Full-time, Part-time, Fixed term contract, Freelance, Zero hours contractPlease note, this role will require an enhanced DBS check, and the salary will be dependent upon your experience, in line with market rates.
